      Hi Kev.
      I'm just getting back into motorcycles. Could you tell me a bit how you use yours - just in the summer, just for joy rides, etc.? I'm trying to figure out if I can justify spending $10,000 for a "toy". Knowing your experience would help. And I'm leaning toward the 2016 v7 special. I have one dealer down to $8690 out the door plus nj tax and tags which I think might be the best I can do.

        I started riding in the 90's and became seriously obsessed right away.

        I used to ride up to 20-30k miles/year, all seasons, all weather, commuting, touring, exploring on weekends etc.

        I bought a new Road King in 96, but 98 it had been in 28 states and had 65k miles on it.

        About a decade ago I started working at home so I don't much commuting or business travel...

        And having two small kids now I don't ride nearly as much anymore, maybe only 5-10k/year spread among our currently 3 bikes.

        But I get out weekly most of the year, and on longer weekend rides, and a few overnight rides each year.

        It used to be nothing to ride 200+ miles each way for lunch, now it's more likely mi wife and I might sneak out for a 100 or so mile round trip lunch while the kids are at preschool.
