Hello there,

I left my bike (V7 II stone) to the mechanic shop and it came back with the engine covered with SC1 silicone spray. The matte look is gone. Do you have any advice on how to get back to the original look? Does this coating wear off?

Thank you

I do that on purpose to my bikes, except that I've found ArmorAll (or similar) to be better and last longer. It will wear off. The more rain the quicker. The point of it is so the dirt and grime of everyday riding (I sound like an ad man) adheres to the film of spray. At wash time most gunge will simply hose off, leaving a clean, new looking engine. They would most certainly have done it thinking that it was a little something special for their customer.

Thank you.
All the Best
