  • There is ZERO tolerance on personal attacks and ANY HYPERLINKS to PRODUCT(S) or other competing website(s), including personal pages, social media or other Forums. This ALSO INCLUDES ECU DIAGnostic software, questions and mapping. We work very hard to offer commercially supported products and to keep info relevant here. First offense is a note, second is a warning, third time will get you banned from the site. We don't have the time to chase repeat (and ignorant) offenders. This is NOT a social media platform; It's an ad-free, privately funded website, in small help with user donations. Be sure to see the GTM STORE link above; ALL product purchases help support the site, or you can upgrade your Forum profile or DONATE via the link above.
  • Be sure to see the GTM STORE link also above for our 700+ product inventory, including OEM parts and many of our 100% Made-in-SoCal-USA GTM products and engine kits. In SoCal? WE'RE HERE ONLINE ONLY - NO PHONE CALLS MADE OR RECEIVED - DO NOT EMAIL AND ASK QUESTIONS OR ASK TO CALL YOU.
  • Like the new V100, GuzziTech is full throttle into the future! We're now running on an all-new server and we've updated our Forum software. The visual differences are obvious, but hopefully you'll notice the super-fast speed. If you notice any glitches or have any issues, please post on the Site Support section at the bottom. If you haven't yet, please upgrade your account which is covered in the Site Support section or via the DONATE tab above, which gives you full site access including the DOWNLOADS section. Hi all! There is conformist in all of us which denies free thought. Which is why I PERSEVERED with the M5 nuts which were supplied with the guard and for which there is the BAREST MINIMUM of clearance to fit -and no, the bolts refused to align from the inside out. I ended up pressing the nut into a socket using two layers of polythene film and trimming the excess before I could finger-wiggle the nut onto the bolt using a 1/4 inch bar extension and 68 year knuckle joints. Before the poly film idea the nuts kept falling off and I had to use an airline to blow them out of the handy cavity-cum-clearance that MG had thoughtfully left for them to fall into.
Then I was showering this morning, a time and a place where all great thoughts seem to happen, and I wondered why MG hadn't simply left us a threaded hole in the lug. Then I thought 'Why hadn't I simply drilled and threaded the hole in the lug' :nerd:? An M7 x 1 drill size for tapping is 6.1 (if you can find a bolt) or a common M8 x 1.25 is 6.7 and I bet I could have eased either through the lot and given myself at least three threads which is enough to hold a bitty sheety vanity thing in place with the addition of some medium strength Locktite.
Having been handed two bolts with two nuts to do the job I regret the conformist had won, -- this time.
