Hmmm, I may be they only person on the planet to try those two on the same bike. That's kind off cool.
I remember installing the Ricors years ago (I had to send them a fork to make those). The front end was transformed, and it was better in every way possible. I changed to the Mupo kit when I...
Thanks! Finished it up this morning before work, and haven't had a chance to go for a test ride. to get to the 135mm air gap, I used about 350mL. I thought it would have taken a little more fork oil.
I went with the Mupo kit to replace the Ricor Intiminators that I installed quite a few years...
I just started installing the Mupo valve kit on my 2009 V7C. What are these gasket looking things for? Looks like they fit in the groove on the aluminum housing. There's nothing in the instructions that mentions these.

I have a Fat Duc if you're willing to try. I'll send it to you at no charge to try it out, but I'll need it back unless you want to purchase it. I'll pm you for details.

RGOFF,
Since you've disconnected the O2 sensor, why not install an AFR gauge to monitor your bike? If you (or anybody else) have any concerns about it running too lean, this will tell you the results of your mods.

When I do a handlebar swap, I suspend the new bars over the old bars (usually by ratchet straps over the garage ceiling joists). You may need to tape the ratchet strap S hooks to the handle bars so they don't slide around. I then swap one side at a time, and lower the new bars into place.

Sounds like the same noise my 2009 V7C is having. The dealer ordered up a new push rod and bearings and will install them under warranty. I opted to pay for a new clutch disc as long as he was in there replacing everything.
I made a video for them since I couldn't always duplicate the sound...
Thanks Todd! Your assistance has been incredible!
Just waiting to hear from you where the grey (TPS?) wire goes to. I know you're out of town, and you still have had some speedy replies! Everything is all set to go except for that grey wire.
Can't wait to fire it up and post results. Still 91F...
I just received my PC-V/Autotune/Reflash from Todd. Going thru the directions, the FI connector does not come off the same way as the current bikes. Is there a trick to getting it off, or do I just need to pry a little harder? It looks like it's connected to another place piece on the FI, and...
Re: VDSTS Info - Instructions
It finally cooled down enough to where I could adjust TPS and balance TB's (we've had 90-100f the past few weeks). Thanks for all of the help and info with the VDSTS everybody. However, more questions:
What does the fuel trim do exactly? Does it affect fueling...
Re: VDSTS Info - Instructions
Thanks John!
Is there a trick or method of removing the sync bar/connecting rod? I gave it a tug the other day, and it seems to be on there tight. I'd hate to break it trying to remove it.
Re: VDSTS Info - Instructions
I'm a little confused with exactly how to reset the TPS on my 2001 V11 Sport with the 15M ECU.
Anybody have good instructions on how to do it? As far as disconnecting the sync bar that goes between the 2 TB's, how does is that removed? Mine seems to be on very...
That's what my local dealer all did to my bike, plus a new set of plugs. The brake fluid was also dark, so that was changed as well. He re-torqued the head bolts as well BEFORE doing the valve adjustments. I believe he broke loose and torqued each head bolt one at a time if I remember correctly...
Damn, that sucks!
Make sure you have your knees checked. I had an accident last year, and me left knee hit the fuel tank. An MRI found all kinds of ligament damage, which required surgery to clean it up. Still having to go in for therapy until it's 100%. Sucks for me because it WAS my good knee.
