How often to tighten valve cover bolts?

Not unusual for the gasket to crack leading to oil leak in the older klingerite material gaskets, it's because of the movement due to the heat cycles of the cover. You can get silicone gaskets that work or the latest ones from the dealer are coated metal shim which I now have on my 1200 Sport...

Heated grips only work on one side

Hi Mum Because the heated grip on the right side is constantly moving the wire breaks just after it comes out of the twist grip rubber . It requires taking the tank off to get to the connector, a 2 wire cable which is easy to check for continuity. New moto guzzi heated grips were about £160...

    V7III Blown Engine?

Yep cam chain is not on its sprocket On the older bikes it's a duplex chain, wonder if they went single row on the new ones. As it's just the cover that's broken you could be back on the road quite quickly, lets hope ......unless it's bent a valve which could be why it spins over so easy.

Oil pressure light on 1200 sport

As I said earlier check the oil pump outer rotor is not cracked. It's mounted on the front of the motor, it will mean removing the timing chain, so a higher than average spanner technical ability.

Oil pressure light on 1200 sport

I think the oil pressure switch is monitored in both states( on/off) with regard to the revs

Oil pressure light on 1200 sport

It might be worth checking the oil pump before you change the clocks. Some pumps have been known to fail. Mine did (2007)

Mode button won't work on 1200 sport

With the oil pressure sensor you'll need a 21mm open ended spanner, it's a really tight situation. I machined mine down , it helps.

Mode button won't work on 1200 sport

they are a sealed item I replaced mine with a "press to talk" type switch but its not water proof so its tucked in behind the instrument fairing. You just need a 2 terminal non latching switch, and from what I remember its hard wired into the loom so probably Moto Guzzi don't do a replacement...

When an Allen key socket has rounded try knocking a torx bit into it. This has worked for me many times. You will have to buy a set to try the size that works best.

Added Stelvio hand guards to my Breva

They do look tidy but I found come winter they do very little and your thumb is still in the cold air. I use Barkbuster Blizzard hand guards, I can still see all the switches and my thumbs are protected
