I had the same rattle noise on throttle and found that the exhaust springs lost tension and were vibrating and hitting the y-connection midpipe, I replaced them with some spare Moose Racing springs I had laying around and the rattling disappeared. Over time the new springs also started making...
What tire pressures are you guys running with the Conti RA3's?
I installed the Contis on a 2012 V7 Classic, 110 front and 130 rear, currently have them at 35psi front and rear. First impressions are pretty good, but nothing life-changing the way other guys here seem to feel. They feel good the...
Both drain bolts are clear, don't know about rearsets but I have plenty of clearance with my 1 3/8" lowered pegs so I imagine raised rearsets shouldn't be a problem.
I have the same issue as you when the bike gets stuck in rush hour traffic, the theory a few of us came up with was that the heat generated during slow city riding combined with the cable being under constant tension from city maneuvering, causes heat to bleeds into the clutch cable causing it...
Mine are installed on a 2013 stone but according to AF1 they should fit the racer models (but even they recommend buying the hangers with passenger pegs to preserve canister angle), there shouldn't be any contact with the engine or oil pan, make sure the downpipes are routed correctly with the...
I have them installed on my bike and I love the way they look and sound. I especially like the way the bike looks on the "empty" righthand side. I personally keep the baffle in and it sounds nice even when riding with earplugs and a fullface.
They are much lighter than stock and along with a...
Now that you mention it, my bulbs did seem to pop somewhat earlier than expected (compared to a car at least, the V7 was my first bike so I have no comparisons). Close to 3 years owned and a little over 9000 miles ridden I've replaced the plate light 4 times, the front parking light twice, the...
I retrofitted a Lemans1 fairing from airtech streamlining onto the V7 which I thought worked great for blocking the air, it created a distinct bubble which was big enough for me to duck into and it noticeably increased my aerodynamic speed. The downsides were that it looked a bit off since the...
As for me, anything that gets my V7 on the road ASAP is what I would like. I don't mind crimping or soldering if a true plug and play product isn't possible within a few days, the days are getting nicer and nicer and I don't want to lose out on any riding
Just checked my idle voltage, 15.5v, immediately ordered a V7II regulator and a new battery, will the GT-RX reflash tool read error codes to check the cam sensor and ecu?
I follow a guy on IG that makes and sells seat cowls for the V7

Looks pretty nice, he also has a couple of vids up on youtube showing how they look on the bike

Is it ok for bags to rest on shocks like that? I know that people will avoid it to prevent chrome or powdercoat from getting rubbed off the coils but are there any other adverse effects to performance of the shocks??
Hey Wolf, sometimes you can find a stock set of levers on fleabay that someone will sell after upgrading their levers, wherever you decide to buy from it's a super simple swap involving literally one screw and slipping a barrel out of a notch. If you live close to the Brooklyn dealership you can...
