I've been patiently waiting for a new LeMans for a decade now. The concepts above are pretty, but too much bodywork. Needs to be minimalized some. But a LeMans built on the v100 platform would be beautiful regardless. Hell, a LeMans version in the V7/v8 platform would be beautiful.
The V7 is a good bike and basic enough where you can do your maintemance and basic repairs. You'll likely get parts faster than the dealer online from guys like GTM, MG Cycles, Harper's, etc.
That's likely I would think they would do. Something like that but no number plate cowl and having the seat go up the tank like the MKI. Pretty tasty.
But now with the V100 out maybe they'll go modern with it with a retro not to the Lemans of the yester years.
Everyone knows Guzzi's doing...
Got some riding in the other day in Downtown Tucson. Normally there are cars everywhere but due to the coronavirus downtown was oddly clear. I took advantage of this to really see the street art.
I hope you all are able to ride and practice your "social distancing" skills.
This is what I've been hoping for. A new 850 LeMans. Just a V7 frame with the TT850 motor tuned better for more power and torque to give SOME power to weight fun. A good throwback styling based off the MKIV ....With LED lighting... Not rocket science or too groundbreaking but just a cool bike...
Having to catch up from an over 2 year absence. I see this section is where all the magic happens. ;-) Btw, Todd. Love the pics...
I’m another "I don't know Roper but I do know Todd" guy. It's pretty safe to say Todd's a solid guy. Nobody really knows Roper except in forums and whatnot. But...
Just read this.. Hm.
Well there might be some that ''talk the smack " on your fueling map . Then there are those that have them and praise them. It's a product. Some will like it and some won't. As for the "Guzzi Drama" with all these guys making and selling Guzzi parts and talking shit about...
The sisters are united.
It's astonishing how different these two bikes compare. Loving this Scura . I'm happy to have it as much as Todd was happy to see it go..
GPS speedometer are pretty accurate. What's up with the speedo on your bike?
What kind of Guzzi?
You can look into Speed hut GPS gauges. A lot of us V11 Sport guys are doing it since finding Viglias are hard and MTIs are crap. They even do custom with matching the facesame of the Guage and...
Yeah, Guzzi dropped the ball not bringing the Bellagio. They totally could of cashed in on the beginning of the retro craze in the US taking a lot of Ducati and Triumph profits.
I have Alcantara on my v11 Lemans. Black with red stitching. I regularly spray it with 3M Scotchguard. Only fading I've really gotten was the red stiching. The black faded slightly but with the tone being brown instead of a purple it looks better than new. I'm in CA so it gets plenty of sun...
You can get lots of power from a V11.. Just a set of pipes , crossover and a proper fuelling map sets you 15hp at least over stock.
Changing pistons, porting and polishing heads and lightening the flywheel ( if you wanna put the work in) would make your bike a total sleeper .
