New V7 II Stone. New to the forum. New Bike, New Leak

Just so anyone new with this issue gets the deal, I've just recently performed this replacement and have yet to see my weeping cylinder problem come back ... definitely a +1 from me.

Final Drive Gear Oil Leaks V7 & V9

Hi all, Season just opened, I've logged about 5000mi on my 2016 V7II Stone and noticed a weep of oil around the final drive. Oil appears to be coming out from in-between the wheel and the final drive housing. I'm just wondering ... can someone point to the "flange bolts" in an image ... I...

New V7 II Stone. New to the forum. New Bike, New Leak

Agh, thank you for the reference part numbers ... I've been dealing with a seeping reservoir for a full season now. No damage or ill performance as of yet, just ultra annoying. I'll print this out and give it to the dealer for my last warranty window service, the 6k service. I'm sure they'll...

    Oil Light Flash

AHA! Yes, reports say it is the interface between the rubber wire keeper, the engine, and the metal of the cover. I am willing to absorb a few silly little issues like that given that the guzzi fits me 95% to a tee. Kind of a shame that it has to be be done, but it's not costing me anything...

    Tail Tidy vs. OEM Rack

Anyone know if there is a potential conflict between the OEM LARGE luggage rack and Todd's beautiful tail tidy?

    Oil Light Flash

A quick update, the bike has been assessed by SeaCoast Sport Cycle in Derry, New Hampshire. 1. Timing cover gasket leaking (possible that it was not replaced after the valve change, damaged during normal service, or other reason ... no matter, it's replaced). This is a huge relief because it...

    V7 III - Has arrived

Todd, I guess that's a good compromise, but I'm very attached to my analog tach, much easier to read than any digital tach I've ever ridden with (and the digi just can't keep up sometimes). I would be eager to go see it when it comes to my dealer in 2017 either way. I might not be trading in...

    Oil Light Flash

So another update! I noticed that there was an oil weep around the bottom of the right hand cylinder. Bike is going in for service (that is certainly warranty covered). Could be that this is the cause of the water fouling of the oil? Crossing fingers for good prognosis, or for complete...

Trout, looks like the special and racer (non base models) get a double clock. Still a bummer about the stone!

Nipples and penises. Wierd ... Well I definitely am happy that the water fouled crud wasn't getting back into the sump. Q: How do you titillate an ocelot? A: oscillate his titalot!

    Oil Light Flash

I just looked at a fiche for the airbox ... it would have to be a LOT LOT LOT of oil to get to that center hole that drains to the two tiny oil penis deals going on there ... Situation is totally normal here ... no oil light flashes, acceptable level of oil in the airbox (still under 2tbsp)...

    Oil Light Flash

Checked on the airbox after cleaning it completely before getting out of work ... Acceptable level of oil (less than 1tbsp) in bottom of the box, oil level seems to have grown by a whole hash mark making it in between minimim and maximum fill levels ... I'll have to find a surface that I KNOW...

    Oil Light Flash

Andy, Thanks for your suggestions and cautions ... I'm not opposed to leaving the bike idling on the side stand and have done that to warm up many a Honda twin in the past ... perhaps I'll just sit on it and hug it from now on if I need to warm the bike up (it's getting cold up here in MA ...

    Oil Light Flash

Good morning everyone, I'm writing to you today because I have not found satisfaction pouring through the "oil in airbox" posts that abound on the forums. I have a 2016 V7II Stone with 1700 miles on it currently. THE PROBLEM: Oil light flashed for no more than a second while decelerating from...

    Twas a Guzzi Camping Delight

I think in total it was about 200 in two days After about 75 it really rattled me. Kidney killer. I think I ended up sitting on the frame rails themselves. That and the suspension was a little out of wonk because of the extra weight. I also had to sit way far forward because I don't have a...

    Twas a Guzzi Camping Delight

Feast your eyes on this! https://imgur.com/a/s6wfo Thought you all might enjoy the minor aesthetic updates to the Guzzi, and a few pics from a recent camping weekend. Got to know the bike a lot this weekend, took it on the highway for the first time (yes I changed my engine speeds up to...

    100 Mile Impressions / Questions

Yep, store and forum breeds that... I personally haven't really zone across the issue yet, and I could tune at home with a little help but Todd offers a service that is quantifiably (words?) Cheaper than learning how to tune ecu from scratch. The alternative seems to involve a dyno and a...

    100 Mile Impressions / Questions

Alright, RPM flame war success! (kidding, good points all) Now, onto another question about fueling (BTW we are at 200 miles now, fully inspected, camping trip this weekend to Western MA) Anyone else notice that the V7II is surge-happy around 4K? Feels like the TPS is just on the cusp...
