    Norge Gearbox oil change

Maybe I am getting all my motorcycles mixed up but doesn't the Norge have a side plug? Seems when I changed out my oils earlier this year, I filled up till it just started coming out the side drain plug. No idea how much it took. I had some Swepco 201 left over from another project and the...

    Valve Tappet Fix Poll

You dont need a poll, you need a cambox kit and roller tappet update, maybe even a dropping of the sump to see how much of your tappets and camshaft are there in the form of spooge..... How many miles on the bike? It's worth a shot to see if Piaggio will help at all, some have had the parts...

Last gen Griso vs new gen Thruxton

to me there is no comparison..... GRiSO over Thruxton 10X a day, but that is MY preference. Many (obviously) feel otherwise. The GRiSO isn't as Todd says a 'naked' sports bike, but it is definitely a performance bike, and not a "Power Cruiser, but not a Touono or FZ1... BUt lets be honest ALL...

    Need some experienced ears

Sounds like an exhaust manifold leak to me.

    Norge 'selling points'?

Ride it...... IMO Guzzi's are quirky, but super easy to work on and maintain. Largely bulletproof and reliable, though I wouldn't want to go for a rollerized bike without proof it was done early. Buy what speaks to you and your wallet can handle. If you want TC, you will need to look...

New used Griso and it's leaking oil

Could be the oil supply line on the inside of the head. If it is the grub screws, I had this on two grub screws on my 2014 Norge. I cleaned the area completely with carb spray cleaner, let dry completely and when the engine was stone cold used a wicking thread lock. This worked on one, but the...

    V7 C-S Suspension Thread

Working on upgrading my Stornello suspension to give a bit more ride height, longer travel and of course better stability and comfort. I've ordered a set of Hagon Enduro/Trail shocks at 420mm, and a set of K-TECH fork springs with 7.5 spring rate and changing out the fork oil with a lighter...

    Service Thread - 2013+ V7

I live in Alexandria, have lived here on and off for the last 10 years, but was my first trip. Man.... What an unfortunate mess... Anyhow, I just bought a Stornello, was thinking about having them do my first service, otherwise would have to go to Richmond or back to Accident. I've decided I...

GTM CNC V7 Givi TankLock Bag Rings

Any problem with putting tank ring right on the paint, or water getting into the tank without the o ring? I may put a thin layer of tank protector (clear sheet) on the bottom of the ring, don't want to go metal on metal paint.

"Small Luggage Rack" compatibility with V7III Racer

Quick question on this, I'm looking to add a rear rack to my stornello, but don't want it to be overly large and obtrusive. The small rack shown above is listed for the V7 3. Would it work on a V7 to? Specifically the stornelo. If I'm reading the above correctly it sounds like it will.

Considering a new Guzzi - Talk me off the ledge...

I was where you are 1 year ago. After 30+ years on liter+ in line 4''s Kawasaki Concourse, FZ1, and my last bike (8years) an FJR I bought a Griso 1100. I was thinking of giving up riding and a bit bored riding but not wanting to give it up. I had never ridden a Moto Guzzi, only read about them...

Got some questions about my Norge

Battery is under the seat. You can run the lead out easily. Octane.... I run 89-92 on my 1100 Griso(4V) and 1200 Norge (8V) Yes, there is an ambient temp gauge, and you can switch it between and C and F. There are several sites, this one included that let you download the owners manuals.

    Griso 1200 8v revving issues

Unlikely, he is in Western Washington, this bike came from California.

    Griso 1200 8v revving issues

Unlikely, was a 2014, unless the goofballs at the factory did 1/2 the motor wrong and had to go into it and change it out later.

    Griso 1200 8v revving issues

As inexplicable as it may sound, the right side cam was one tooth out. No known reason why. The Tech's at MI said that they checked both sides and that it was clear that the right side had been taken apart and reassembled. I got the bike at 1500 miles, and it had been serviced at a dealer in CA...

    Griso 1200 8v revving issues

I was thinking the same with the phase sensor being out of alignment. As far as load, the bike will rev to limiter when in neutral (no I don't do it often and only when fully warmed up) and the higher the gear/load the sooner it comes up. Kind of unsafe to hit 6K in top gear, but in 4th the...

    Griso 1200 8v revving issues

Yes all gears particularly under load. In first gear happens at 6500, in higher gears from 6000-6200 depending on load. If just goes blaat like it runs out of fuel or spark is retarded severely. COmes on like a switch.... My 'freind' is a Griso Ghetto freind. His issue came on suddenly, my...

    Griso Gas Tank Connections Question

That's just a check valve for the fuel tank vent. Goes between the tank and charcoal canister.

    Griso 1200 8v revving issues

Thanks, have talked with Pete, so far no clear solution to this somewhat rare problem. There have been one or two that happened as a result of the cam being off a tooth when rollerized, but that is not likely this issue as this has been a problem from almost new.
