V85 Left Hand Control assembly (turn signal button broken)

They look a bit damaged. Did you round them off with the wrong size wrench?

V85 Left Hand Control assembly (turn signal button broken)

They look like allen/hex - are they metric or imperial (just asking as bike is European and you are in US)

    California 1400 OEM luggage rack

Good job. However I notice your new fabricated rack lacks the trailing side support arms of the factory unit. Those ran under the rear fender/mudgard and bolted to the rear sub-frame to create a stronger trianglar support structure for the luggage. Without those it will probably put extra...

    Oh…no…what have I done?

Don't blame yourself - it's all in the knack

    International Motorsports Vancouver.

Never been involved in a demo day with IM, but I bought my Audace from them in 2016 when they were in Yaletown. I've chatted to the wrench and the service managr a few times and they seem genuinely helpful (to my ears anyway). My experience is limited to buying the usual serviceable items as I...

    Frustration in words. ;)

Sorry Scott, I'm with Raven on this - I didn't read anything rude into Gezza's response. Certainly nothing that was directed at you. Just because we all speak English doesn't mean we all communicate in the same way. When I first read Gezza's response, I interpreted his use of 'Blah blah blah' as...

    Ignition Switch Fail

Isn't it just !!! - CDN $65 for 100g spray bottle on Amazon. Looking at the INOX web site they make MX3 and MX4 which they claim are interchangable for most applications (MX4 seems to have better anti corrosion protection more suitable for marine applications and can be bought for about $15 in...

Does anyone use the Pioggia mode in heavy traffic?

When I was installing the pcv/at300 way back when, it was required that a throttle calibration be carried out using a laptop to establish the min, max limits of the throttle I.e from closed to wide open. In pioggio mode a wot produced about 2.0 volts. In the other two modes, it went up to about...

C14 - Secondary Air Supply Pump - SAS

Probably runs better for it (Euro 3 vs Euro 4). My Euro 4 was so jerky below 2500rpm that I had to buy Todd fueling to fix it

Does anyone use the Pioggia mode in heavy traffic?

Absolutely - usually under two conditions 1) The traffic you and Moto-Uno mention, 2) When I'm just feeling lazy and want to take in the scenery and just want to flow with slower traffic. Don't get me wrong, I love the other two modes as well and will switch to veloce asap, but the acceleration...

C14 - Secondary Air Supply Pump - SAS

Reading through on-line reviews of the eldorado and audace models from TotalMotorcycle.com (and others) , it seems that the Audace was euro 4 compliant when first introduced whereas the eldorado could be manufactured to euro 3 standards (i.e. without the sas pump). From what I have read on...

C14 - Secondary Air Supply Pump - SAS

It looks like you don't have the pipes or the pump. The two photos below show the setup on mine. The key ingredient here is the existence of the two metal pipes attaching to cylinder head (1 per side) just inboard of each exhaust pipe. Those pipes supply the air produced by the pump. These pipes...

    Brake recall

Well that might explain it. I'm pretty sure I only received an owners booklet. I don't ever recall a separate warranty card (assuming it's not in the booklet somewhere). I'll check next time I dig it out, but wouldn't the dealer normally fill this in? I've bought several cars in Canada over the...

    Brake recall

I called my dealer and emailed piaggio and was told to bring it in. Seems like they all need the check, regardless of VIN. I'm waiting for the weather to improve before making that ride (we've had snow all week). I guess what puzzled me is why I didn't get a letter in the mail from some official...

C14 - Secondary Air Supply Pump - SAS

No - that's not it - maybe you don't have one as implied by this photo of an Eldorado. If you have the pump, it is down low on the LHS of the bike near the gear shifter (see photo below). This is an Audace photo I found on-line - I've circled the pump in red - This is what I have. If so follow...

C14 - Secondary Air Supply Pump - SAS

It's been some time since I experiemented (so don't treat this as definitive), but I seem to recall that unplugging the electrical connection to the SAS pump on my 2016 Audace throws a yellow check light on the dash - this makes senses as it's all CAN connected sensors and actuators so if it...

    Chromed or polished?

Hints of Easy Rider about that bike - is that the sea to sky pullout near Squamish - looks kinda familiar
  19. P

C14 - Secondary Air Supply Pump - SAS

I could be wrong, but I think it was 1st introduced for the 2016 model year. According to what I can see on the web, all new models (e.g. Audace and Eldorado) needed it from 2016, and all existing new bikes (such as Cali) from 2017.

Audace brakes self engaged - RESOLVED

IIRC, there have also been a few posts about small stones getting trapped in the rear brake pedal mechanism causing the rears callipers to remain 'on'. Not sure if that applies here but might be worth digging out the thread.
