    Minor irritation

Yup, aren't fenda extenders a hard plastic? If I remember the one on my BMW was, because of the swing arm I chose a quite flexible rubber . Also, heaven forbid if it came adrift I'd prefer a smallish piece of rubber jetsam vs. a stiffer piece. Just sayin

    Minor irritation

Yup this easy mod. Is for the front edge of the rear fender. One again sorry about lack of photos . Cut a piece of thin cardboard 7"x4" & set it on the swing arm right where rear fender begins ,if ya press it against the fender mounting fasteners you've just made a template! I used rubber...

I'm not a "clean freak" but, the amount of road trash that gets thrown on the clutch release arm every ride got me cranky .seems the rear fender was designed to dump grime on the release arm! Soooo I fabricateda small mud flap for the front edge of the fender.i cu a piece of rubber roof material...

    Early V7 Radial Tire Thread

Perhaps I didn't express myself adequately. What I was referring too was when cast wheels were first introduced some mfg.s didn't cast in a safety bead . Think trailer wheels ,cheap trailer wheels . All newer wheels have them I hope ! That's the pop you hear when the tire "seats",surprisingly...

    Early V7 Radial Tire Thread

Just put a set of Conti RA3s on my V7ii, after 200mi love em. Ride quality is better, they don't seem to dive into corners as the sport demons did, possibly because front is a 110/80-18 .also on using tubes on cast wheels some early cast wheels didn't have the "saftey bead" cast in & tubes were...

Let the Dr. Assume he's correct "dang dangerous bicycles". I learned long ago to not mentioned the M/C word if possible. As a young Mxer an orthopedic surgeon said to me when I questioned the outcome of a recent " procedure "I don't know why I even bothered ,you ride a m/c your just going to...

    happy-er feet

I just had another thought ( second cup of coffee) if you have a newer V7 &want a "sportier" look for your foot pegs swap out the dowdy but cushy foot peg rubbers for the 16&earlier rubbers , plus they're lighter ,you'll be faster . And less than a $20 bill !! Also while the rubbers are off you...

For a number of reasons I stand on the pegs while riding(to stretch, dirt or frost heaved pavement&relief from a touch of sciatica).I found the stock foot pegs though quite stylish a bit lacking in the comfort area.when the V7III arrived (mine is a V7II) I noticed the generously cushioned foot...
