Thanks - big challenge out here as the importer/distributor for Guzzi went into liquidation late last year and no one geared up to or willing to look at Guzzi's. Love the bike but seriously thinking of parting with it due to no back up facilities. Thanks for your reply and the engine light has...
Hi - whilst out for a ride on the Audace this morning the engine light came on and has stayed on since. Cool day here and was a very easy ride not pushing bike at all. Oil level checked and fine? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Stuart
Paul - thanks for your reply and video- the sound is pretty much the same as what I am experiencing and moreso when under load and only once operating temp is reached. This gives me a lot more reassurance. I wear an open face helmet and no earplugs so continuously reminded of the noise other...
Thanks to all again for your replies. Sadly since my last response the sole importer and distributors for Guzzi in RSA went into liquidation. I am fortunate enough though to have Eurobike in Cape Town who despite not been the accredited dealer for Guzzi only work on Italian bikes and the...
Thank you James and Bill for your responses.
The traction control is on 3 but will try a lower setting.
Will also look at where air intake is situated and see that it’s not been obstructed due to weight on seat. Have arranged to take back in to work shop to be looked at- Stuart
Just received Bike back from workshops having had cam lifters replaced (at 3000 km).
Bike seems to be running quite smoothly and getting use to the unique noises the Guzzi seemingly makes :).
However I found when accelerating and in particularly when going through the gears (1-3) from a...
Hi - Thanks for the interest. I only received the Bike back this last Saturday. Endless waiting for the part (lifters) to arrive. Anyway they replaced the lifters and I had a look at the old lifters when collecting the bike which showed some signs of quite light surface scruffing but there...
Will let you know the outcome on the warranty Steve and thanks to you and Paul for the various comments which certainly have helped and which I have also shared with the workshop (dealer)
Further update from Dealer
Firstly did an oil change to the recommended 10W60 oil which made very little to no difference
Then checked valve clearance once more and they all were on the mark except for one which was a little on the bigger side.
After all of this they found that the hydraulic...
Thanks for responding Paul - unfortunately Bike in with the dealer at the moment so wont be able to record it just now. Very difficult to describe a sound I appreciate as one persons fluttering is another's thumping. It is however a very distinctive "ticking" sound which is more prominent after...
Just under 3000 km done on and there is a noise which can be described between ticking/fluttering coming from Motor mainly between 3000-5000 rpm and only after engine is warm. Any Thoughts?
thanks Stuart
