    V9 Opinions

Also keep in mind that the tranny loosens up with miles. It'll be much smoother after the first service at 1000k. Still a satisfying clunk to let you know you're in first, but the shifts are easier and more positive.

    V9 Opinions

Congrats on your new bike, Taz! FYI: My dealer had already installed the kit to move the foot pegs back before I bought it. I was told it's a free upgrade for bikes shipped with the original feet forward set.

V9 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Ready to Roam! Traded my 2012 Griso Black Devil for this 2017 V9 Roamer. I'll miss the power, but not the bulk. The V9 is light and flickable, the ergos are perfect for me, and it's a looker. With a flyscreen, tail rack and bag, and some Agostinis to uncork that sweet Mandello music, I'm...

    exhaust cleaner/polish

I've had good luck with Bar Keepers Friend, a powder sold in grocery stores to polish stainless steel pots and appliances. I use it with a ceramic stovetop scrubber pad. With a little elbow grease, it removes the tar, bugs, water stains, even heat discoloration, without scratching the shine like...

    Griso Flyscreen

The flyscreen on my Griso does offer a more relaxed ride. It takes enough wind off the chest at highway speeds to make a difference in long-haul comfort, and it eliminated the helmet buffeting I used to get on the naked Griso. It doesn't offer any weather protection, there's nothing to hide...

    Guzzis in the Blue Ridge

In the meantime, there's always the Virginia Guzzi Rally. Coming up in two weeks at the Willville MC Camp just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. http://jfritzius.wix.com/vamotoguzzi

    Pit Bull Stand for Griso

Thanks, Todd. Keep us posted on availability and pricing.

Griso aftermarket exhaust stock bag clearance

Might as well show the whole thing, then. On a trip from VA to IN, stopped at Point Pleasant, WV, to pay homage to the infamous Mothman.

I'm interested, and I suspect others will be too. Got an e-mail address?

Griso aftermarket exhaust stock bag clearance

The bottom photo in Todd's post is of my Griso with a Mistral carbon cone. It clears the stock soft bags with an inch to spare when they are loaded. Here's a closeup:

    Griso 8V Newbie

As for accessories, we're on the same wavelength. I opted for practical protection that doesn't detract from the clean lines of the Griso. In the photo below you'll see Stucchi Luigi head guards, Pyramid hugger and fenda xtenda, and carc protector from a Stelvio. The flyscreen, rear rack and bag...

    Griso 8V Newbie

Bar risers can be found with a little searching and may help your comfort issues. There's a suspension setup thread in this forum with some great tips on getting the ride dialed in. I haven't had any clutch problems like the ones you describe on my '12, and haven't read anything similar from...

    For potential buyers....

Nice report. Felt like I was sharing the ride. Details much appreciated.

    Dream bike?

That is a pretty thing, Todd. It has more appeal to me that the water-cooled 1300 now in the rumor mill. For now, from the available choices, my Griso is the closest thing to perfect for my tastes. A retro standard with power, style and just the right mix of old and new tech.

What did you do to your Moto Guzzi today?

Interesting project. Be sure to keep the updates and photos coming.

Noise from left head 2011 Griso SE

Griso 8V crashbar, anyone? The Stucchi one sucks!!!

Depends on how hard it goes down, of course, but my Stucchis seem sturdy. I bought them because of the same kind of drop you had. My Griso fell on its right side at walking speed in gravel. I'm pretty sure the valve cover would be protected if it happened again. I also saw photos in someone...

Anyone know of Canada's current import laws?

From the same page. Apparently ATGATT is for sissies in Canada.

Thinking of trading in my Black Devil

I clicked, thanks. I'd seen that thread before. The C in my VIN does correspond to 2012. But it's interesting that my readout on the search engine doesn't provide a model description, while the OP says his is identified incorrectly.
