Universal Gear Indicator for '07 Norge

Yes, I have the ABS diagram. Interesting that Guzzitech wants to charge people to open these donated links! It's all about making money here. I think I'll pull out. Stick to the enthusiasts sites. By the way, you can see all these wiring diagrams free at...

Universal Gear Indicator for '07 Norge

Ok, I traced out these pin numbers on the wiring diagram and they look to be correct. On ECU (Gray B side) #24 is speedometer, # 10 is tach. OOOps. This info is for non-ABS. Ive gotta search out ABS now. I think it's different.

From a past post on Guzzitech- The Gear Indicator has five pigtailed wires in a common jacket: RED +12V Ingition BROWN Ground GREEN Vehicle Speed Sensor BLUE Engine Speed Sensor WHITE Calibration Strip another few cm/inches of jacket exposing more individual wires. Universal Gear Indicator for '07 Norge

I'm trying to help a friend with a older Norge (2V heads). He has a Datatool Universal Gear Indicator and is trying to wire it up to the Norge. I am not where I can see the bike or connections. Has anyone done this who can provide identification of wires needed for connection? Basically, he...

    Clutch thrust bearing on 8V's

Can anyone provide more information about the infamous double bearing tech bulletin? What engine numbers did this affect? I cannot quite figure the logic in this "fix." If there was a bearing problem, I would think simply replacing the one bearing would be the fix. Also, do the new 8V's come...

    MIVV Exhaust

I recently received an inquiry about how I like my MIVV muffler on my 2012 Stelvio NTX. My email response- I like the MIVV muffler. I had tried a GPR but I find the MIVV sounds better. When you install the MIVV, I suggest coating the inside of the carbon fiber body clamp with RTV silicone and...

    Spark Plug replacement frequency

Yes, yes but I thought I knew better than the manual! lol That's my point. I still can't imagine modern spark plugs having to be changed every 6000 miles. The plugs in automobiles often go for 100,000 miles, plus. I think I just had a defective plug.

    Spark Plug replacement frequency

A bad plug can sneak up on you! I've outlined this earlier on this website. At about 20,000 miles, my Stelvio developed an annoying stumble at about 3000 rpm when the engine was under labor. I checked everything- valve lash, fueling, throttle synch, you name it. I had looked at the spark...

Hydraulic Clutch Adjustment for Stelvio and Others, Better Shifting

With almost 35,000 miles on my NTX, I have recently noticed some occasional shift lever resistance when shifting. My fix was to adjust the clutch lever to accommodate mechanical wear and provide a deeper stroke of the master cylinder piston to produce a more certain release of the clutch...

    Shifting Problems on 2012 Norge

I know this is an old thread but .... The flickering neutral light is likely just a loose connection of the wire to the neutral witch. It's hard to access but, if you can get something to it and make just the connector is affixed good, your problem will likely be fixed.

    2015 Stelvio Updates

Much of what you read regarding the 2015 is the standard boiler-plate spiel Guzzi has used since the NTX was introduced with the 2012 model. Other than tank color, the 2015 bikes should be very similar to the 2014 bikes. Since 2012, various changes have been made to the bike such as roller cams...

Bad Problem with Guzzi Stelvio NTX Aux Lamps

The points about conspicuity are valid but I use my auxiliaries splayed outward few degrees to give me fill-in lighting along the sides of the road for such things as ambling deer or winos.

    Stelvio NTX Clutch

Yes, and I think the service manuals now call for 5.1. Be sure not to use 5.0 (silicone) by mistake.

    Oil Cooler Thermostats

Au contraire mon ami. You cannot trust the factory manuals. They didn't update the pages to show that these 8V motors do not have the thermostat that was featured on preceding engines. I don't understand the engineers reasoning but no thermostats on the later 8V motors. The 1100/1200 engines...

    Oil Cooler Thermostats

    2012+ NTX Lighting Relay Logic

That is a very common relay, Canuck. Mine are genuine Bosch but they sold out to Tyco who now produces them. The Tyco should be top quality. Many, many other brands are out there, some good, some bad. You can normally find them at most auto parts stores. Check into my warning light and...
