There is ZERO tolerance on personal attacks and ANY HYPERLINKS to PRODUCT(S) or other competing website(s), including personal pages, social media or other Forums. This ALSO INCLUDES ECU DIAGnostic software, questions and mapping. We work very hard to offer commercially supported products and to keep info relevant here. First offense is a note, second is a warning, third time will get you banned from the site. We don't have the time to chase repeat (and ignorant) offenders. Do a Google search on Oxford heated motorcycle grips. Lots of choices available.
They run independent to the motorcycle's electrical system, so shouldn't cause any problems.
My favorite is the Oxford Intelligent Heat Controller which you can marry with any other manufacture's heated grips...
The service manual for the V85 states that the gearbox oil should not be changed until 30 kM (18.6 miles) is showing on the odometer. Same for the final drive (Bevel box).
My last remaining brain cell recalls that the argument given is the gearbox and bevel box moving surfaces required a...
My V7-Stone has 10,666 kM showing on the speedometer (approximately 6,000 miles). No issues with a tendancy to lean either way.
You might want to return it to AF1 and get another staff member to take it for a test ride. Something is not quite right, and it might lead to something more...
There's certainly a CANbus for the California 1400 bikes. Also for the V85TT.
But I don't see one on the schematic I have for the V7 series. But my copy is for the older V7s, perhaps the later ones are now CANbus equipped.
It certainly makes sense to go with the CANbus system, reduces the...
Sounds like your brake light wires are providing the ground for normal running, but then when the brake lights are activated, this ground is now at +12v and thus no longer providing a ground return,
It's a wiring issue. Someone has messed up the connections. Download a schematic from this...
My notes when I once owned a Norge.
High beam 12v 65W (H1) x2
Low beam 12v 55W (H3) x2
Low beam is switched on when engine is running. High beam is added when switched on or passing flasher.
I'm not aware of any issue that will prevent the C-bow mounts being fitted to a 2020 Audace. I have them fitted to a couple of California Customs, but the installation will always never be straight forward. Here's a pix with some Givi panniers mounted.
Unfortunately, the C-bows are hidden...
I have Koso heated grips on my 2017 Indian Chief. I do like the integrated controller built into the left hand grip, sometimes it gets busy to find a place to mount a controller.
They work well, but with one button I have to toggle right through the various heat settings if I wish to reduce...
Will you be torquing the nuts with the threads dry or lubricated? There is a helluva difference,
I reckon your other idea of locktite and/or crimping the nut is a much better plan. YMMV.
Once you have the MIA installed, it's not obvious how to set it up. Here's my notes on how I made it work.
1. Turn ignition on.
2. Mate phone with BT-ROUTER via bluetooth.
3. The phone display should be confirmed at the top of the dashboard, just to the right of the helmets.
4. Run the...
I agree it's not easy to install. I had the same issues as you, but managed to temporarily extend the length of the spring using coins. Perhaps Kiwi coins are a bit thicker than the USA ones.
When I purchased my V85, I managed to convince the dealer to install the center stand as part of the...
Just be aware that the Moto Guzzi MIA is very hungry on the phone's battery. I use a dedicated phone for the purpose which is mounted under the seat of my V85TT, and has a connection to the bike's battery.
Better off using Waze, Maps.Me, HereWoGo or a Beeline for navigation.
Hmm, I tend to ride under the radar. I even have a Adaptiv radar detector to help me.
Usually, the radar used over here is to catch people speeding. I'm not usually one of those, but occasionally I manage to slip over.
