hello all, I'm still trying to figure out my short on my titanium can some one offer the test procedure for the coils? also I have heard that there is an electronic petcock on these and that might be a cause for my engine shorting/ bogging out... any Ideas?
thanks
Steve

What are you symptoms? The coils are a low failure rate item. If coils do fail, they usually fail when hot and don't work properly again until they cool down. As for the petcock, replace it with one for a CA III. Have you checked your fuel filter and tank venting? For diagnosing circuits see this: https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/troubleshooting-circuits.3001/

John she dogs out intermittently some times one or both cylinders
It has come to a stop or just lost all power beyond idle and that not smooth. The tac will also go crazy when this happens! The tac also jumps crazy sometimes as I'm cranking the engine. ?????????????
Thank you for your assist.
Steve

With the Tach going crazy it does seem to point to an electrical gremlin. My suggestion is to first make sure all electrical connections are clean with no corrosion, this includes the connection to the ECU. Clean all connections with a good electrical contact cleaner. See how she behaves after this. After this if it still happens we need to find the faulty component. Intermittent problems are the worst and can drive you crazy. All you can do is try to eliminate possible failures until you find the exact one. Guzzis are prone to poor connections so I'm recommending you eliminate the easy items first.

The tach bouncing can also indicate a low voltage situation. That was a sure sign with the wifes V11 that the voltage was low.

Loose battery terminals, which also includes a loose connection within the battery.
Regulator rectifier and then alternator ...............................

thanks for your replies but still stutters after checking coils connections cables battery. Replaced fuel pump and bypassed the filter installing an inline external filter. No longer dying out but now runs with an intermittent stutter under load. runs idles revs fine in neutral, as soon as I take off it starts faltering. Does anyone know the test procedure for the injectors?
Thanks
