Hi all, I'm new to the forum.
I'm in the final stages of re-wiring my 1980 Moto Guzzi 1000 SP, and I've forgottern which wires go where. My wiring diagram shows what coloured wires from where go to my regulator and rectifier, but not which plugs they go onto.

What I need is:
Pictures of a regulator and rectifier showing the coloured wires conected.

I really want to get my bike up and running to attend the Cold Kiwi Ralley this comming weekend.
Please email me direct on:
gr1ffn@xtra.co.nz

Cheers
Griff

Alex,

It looks like someone replaced the stock loom from your alternator. All three wires from the Stator should be Yellow. Also the sequence for the yellow wires from the stator to the rectifier doesn't matter so long as each goes to a stator connection at the rectifier. I do believe the red is is the correct position, but it's relationship to the two battery connections on the end would help. Also if memory serves me right there is a blue wire for signalling charge or not to the dash light or connecting back to the stator. https://www.guzzitech.com/guzzi007/s ... _SP_NT.gif

Thanks for the help boys. Still really keen to see pictures from an older bike with the sepirate reg and rectifier.

This is from my t3 notes for the rectifier

You are missing in the picture a blue wire ( looks like from dash light 19 orange color?) from scemtic from the idiot light on the dash that goes to the far left front open spade connecter in the pic and another blue wire that connects on the backside of the rectifer on a connecter spade left side as you are looking at the posted pic in your message which my notes say y-post looks like in #34 alt area in wire scematic.

on the backside right top are 2 spade connectors which have a wire from the ign and battery.

Hope this helps
