ABS / Traction Control Failure

So after getting soaked in the rain earlier this week on a ride to work, I noticed that the next morning when I started the bike both the ABS and Traction Control light were staying on. So I restarted it and this is what is happening:

Key on, start bike:
- ABS lights up, stays lit
- Traction Control Lights up, then blinks, then stays lit

The owners manual says that if the ABS or Traction control detect an error in the system, or find a stored code, then they automatically disable themselves which causes the lights to stay illuminated.

So is there anyway I can read these codes / possibly clear them without going to a dealer? I'm guessing it's the ABS system since that one doesn't blink at all before staying lit.

Very possible it may "fix its self" after it drys out.

It's OK to ride the bike without ABS or Traction control & the heat of the engine may help to dry out a wet relay/connection.

I suggest removing the fuse for the ABS/TC and letting it dry out while it's unpowered and unable to cause trouble while you're riding. If the ABS/TC unit is acting squirrly, I wouldn't trust it to stay "inactivated" until it dries out.

Yea I've been riding for a few days now without it. Unfortunately, no luck on it fixing itself yet!

Don't like the inconvenience of going to a dealer? An obvious choice-----------

That could be a good choice for me. By any chance do you know if the fueling plug-in device that Todd sells has similar functionality as well? I still haven't done that mod, so it would be nice to knock that off the list as well.

I did inspect all the fuses after it started happening, and all appeared to be intact. Wasn't even wet under the seat which is why it was odd it would trigger/deactivate now. I've definitely ridden in worse rain then that.

I guess it's possible components in the system could be failing at 34k, but that seems early to me.
