Hey guys,
I hope this isn't just me. Do you have to keep your bikes on the tender all winter long? If I leave my 2002 EV idle for 3 days the battery won't kick the engine over. Is it ok to leave the bike on a tender all the time? There is nothing wrong with the battery. It's the power consumption issue and cold weather. should I put the tender on a timer? any thoughts?

thanks,
Aaron in NYC

Pull the battery so fumes don't corrode your frame paint. It's cool to put it on the tender over winter.

I still ride a bit as long as it not icy. Should I still remove the battery and put it back in on days I want to ride?

Nope. Leave it in if you're still riding. Presuming you mean "Battery Tender (tm)" by tender, its OK to leave it hooked up. It will change to maintenance charge after your battery is full. I have leads attached to my battery to make putting it on the tender easy. If you have an Odyssey battery, I think there is a special charger for that.
