Glove box won't open

Hi Forum,

I'm locked out of the glove compartment on my '08 Stelvio!
The lock release lever sounds like it's doing what it should, but the flap won't lift. I thought it may have just been something lodged under the clasp, but having pried the side open and prodded around with a screwdriver, I still can't get the thing to open!
Has anyone else had this problem? Any tips?

In other news, the bike has now done 29K mi, with rollerization happening about 10K mi ago, and getting better with every mile! My only gripe is the fuel tank capacity, but then again a 20l jerry can brings me up to par with the later models. I did have my eyes on the new V85, but now I'm thinking this bike could be the only one I want\need!

The cable has either slipped out of the plastic clasp or has broken. No easy fix other than taking the tank surround plastics completely apart to get to it.

Ok cool. Think I'll add 'glove box won't open' to my short list of Stelvio gripes.
Last time I removed plastics to get at the HT leads I was left with a few extra screws.
Nothing too valuable or irreplaceable in there anyway; now it's less glovebox and more tomb.

Stelvio gripes? This is a 10 year old bike. Things do break over time regardless of what type of machine it is (car, boat, bike, what ever). Seems pretty minor in the grand scheme of things that could fail after 10 years to me.
