Hi, I am new to this forum, so hello everyone.
Does anyone now if it is possible to install GMP - Guzzi Multimedia Platform on a Cali from 2014? I have (fulishly) ordered a Skulky helmet and this would be the right thing to have when it arrives... If it ever arrives.

Check iTunes shop

In the apple app shop, there is a link to the Italian manufacturer. I wrote him an email at 22:30 local time and I got an answer in 30 minutes with a link to a Guzzi engineer. The Guzzi engineer contacted me 15 minutes after and asked me for the frame number. He confirmed in a few minutes that it should work and is an easy fit - I am really impressed!

Some newson this feature: my dealer had difficulties to find the way to connect the adaptor to the 1400 with adaptor of the 7 (two parts: adaptor and device). Although the engineer of Guzzi dpsaid there is no issue, the factory confirmed that a kit with an adaptor to the 1400 will come to market in October.

The app looks good but the importance of the device is when you want to get the best out of the upcoming Skully helmet. But because the delivery of the helmet is delayed, there is no problem to wait for the right part for the 1400.

Works with 2015 wiring loom.

Purchased one and the interface cable but found it to be incompatible with earlier models.

Looked into fitting it to earlier models but would required cutting into the can bus or making up an interface cable.

Work in progress

Please keep us advised of ANY progress (positive or negative). And just for reference, what was the purchase price of the unit and cable?

I have a 2014 California Touring. I ordered the GMP Code: 2S000157 and wiring harness kit Code: 2S000156. The instructions make it look so simple, but I can not locate the 5 way connector (D) marked BLUEDASH to plug the unit in, Not sure if my bike is compatible. Who can you contact to verify compatibility?

Jim I was told by the dealership that Moto Guzzi states I must change my main wiring harness as it was built in early 2014. The refunded my purchase of the unit and connection kit. Would of been nice to have it work on my bike.

Thanks. Out of curiosity, care to share general pricing of the unit?

Jim

This system is so cool it may be worth cutting into the wiring harness to get working... How extensive are we talking?

Jim, if you could please, share the last 7 or 8 digits of your VIN. Really curious what constitutes "early 2014"???
