So I had a 2011 V7 Classic that I sold back in July, traded in on a Ural to be exact, I rode the V7 to Atlanta from Charlotte and had one of those amazing sunset rides that just stay with you for months, I traded it the next day, and I missed it every single day since.

5 months later, I just bought a 2014 V7 Stone in Black (ZGULWUA03EM200045). This time I got it right and traded in my Street Triple.

I have been very impressed with the stock '14 Stone, getting on it for the 30 miles ride from the dealer was great. The new engine upgrades are better than advertised. I also read that the map was tweaked for '14's? Regardless, the bike is awesome and I am so happy to have it back in the fold. I look forward to updating the exhaust, mirrors as soon as UPS can make to my door!

I noticed on fill up the low fuel light is off by about a gallon..lol..just made me smile. I cant wait to take it on a journey where I need a 300 mile range.

Cheers!

Colby, well congrats and welcome back to the fold! Once you have the Mandello bug, it's near impossible to get rid of it.
Thanks for posting your VIN#. I'll add it to the Registry. No map tweaks that I have seen to date, no. However you should experience my reflash.
Look forward to more posts from you.

Todd thanks!

I saw this online at Cycleworld.com and is what I was referring to on the '14.

For 2014, Piaggio has continued polishing the V7. Improved fuel injection, says Moto Guzzi, results in prompter yet more tractable throttle response, and the bike is also said to be more fuel-efficient. In European mixed-riding tests, the V7 gets 58.6 mpg

Well, interesting on what PR spin can be put on even more "improved" leaner fueling, which means tougher cold start, and warm up period along with painfully lean fueling at low speed throttle. :wondering:

Traded in a Triumph but kept the Ural?

So...you like wrenching?

Yes, I love working on them. Whether its modding them or just routine (often) maintenance on the the ural.

The guzzi is just a fun simple bike that feels right to me.
