Hi,

my nearly new V7 stone (2022) makes as strange crunch on the right side of the intake hose. I have made a video on it

Is this a normal behavior? What should I do.
It was already at the dealer. They reseted the engine. But this behavior still occurs. The hotter it gets, the stronger the crunch.

I hope you can help me.

Thank you.
Stefan

So the intake track has low air pressure when you open the throttle. That is what should be. Since it is below atmospheric pressure, the track is collapsed a little. Nothing to worry about.

Thank you for the fast reply. Is it normal that it only occurs on the right side? This is what also bothers me.

Hello final update.

After taking the bike to the national importer they said that it's not supposed to happen.
So they ordered a new tube. After nearly one month.of waiting they replaced it and it's now working again as supposed to.

:)

The exact same thing started happening with my V7 after 3000kays. I guess the good news is that it is an air-tight seal but I have never seen anything before like this happen on an engine.

Is anybody making aftermarket intakes for the V7? Maybe I should just swap it out for a better part
No, not likely ever. That said, we *might* be making one for our friend Roland on his 850 LM project linked below;
