A few things I like, and a few I don't, and certainly *not* the 21" front wheel... What say you?

01 MotoGuzzi MGX 21

02 MotoGuzzi MGX 21

I think it is an interesting idea but I would never buy one.
Bikes like that are outside my range of interest. But it is nice to see MG trying to break new ground.
If they would only build a modern V11 or better yet MGS01 I would buy one.

Aimed firmly at the North American cruiser market! Move over HD, Move over Victory. Instead of being unique in a segment, now a wanna be? Might sell, but to compete, a much larger engine would be called for, methinks.

I feel like the "dark custom" thing can get too carried away...there's a fine line between having the right amount of dark and having too much dark. This one...has too much dark.

I like it. Looks a lot like the Honda F6B. Would like to see a pic before it came back from the nail salon. :)

I not only am not a fan of the style but i don't think I would want to be in any breeze over 10mph with a 21" sail mounted at the end of the forks. Bikes with rotor covers feel side wind. I can't imagine a solid wheel. The fairing isnt too bad but I wonder what it takes to change the rear tire.

Where are the leather tassles? And the chaps. Gotta have the chaps! Oooh, and a doo-rag too. Whoops. Wait. It doesn't say Harley Davidson on the tank. Must not be a real motorcycle.

Honestly, I don't think MG needs to market to that segment but if they can pull it off, more power to them. Meanwhile, the rest of us are waiting for the new water-cooled engine to see how competitive it will be.

I'm not. One of the reasons I like the Guzzi is air cooling. I have other bikes that are water cooled. I know it is inevitable.

One thing I do like is the painted rocker covers with the polished ribs. My clear coated covers are already corroding.

Yuck. I would prefer a OEM integrated fairing that eliminates the buffeting issues the barn door OEM windshield delivers. Please address functionality befor style.

I find those huge plates that the foot controls are mounted on to be ghastly. Ackkk!

I do kinda like the rear end treatment with the lights integrated in to the bags.

Just my dos centavos...

Looks like the 21" Front Wheeled Bagger is on the way...

Check out this California Bagger. Appears to be a cross between the MGX-21 Concept and a California 1400 Touring. Do you guys think Moto Guzzi will bring it to production? I think so.
Posted above (and merged with this thread), yes, it looks like they are planning on bringing it to production. Mainly the 21" wheel and bat fairing.

Makes me wish that I understood more Italian. I kind of like all the interpretations they have made of the Calf. I think that, if they did that with the V-7 (an Eldo version for instance), they would sell. Remember the police bikes they sold to the CHP and LAPD had motors about the size of the V-7.

Indian has a 'Dark Horse' version that seems to succeed with this overall stylistic theme -- that would be the bike I'd pick over this guzzi monstrosity.
