Just got it firing!
Good Morning all,
I have just decided to join the world of Moto Guzzi ownership!
A bit about me.....
After nearly 30 years out of the saddle and having only ever owned Hondas in the UK a work relocation to Switzerland I decided to get back into biking! I spent many hours looking at the mid size sport tourers and nothing made feel like this is me this is what I want to own. I wanted something that stirred my soul with 40-50kw of power and the classic styled bikes are so much more beautiful than the identikit plastic clad bikes! Modern bikes trying to be retro look too cliche to me. Suprisingly few options left after that - Triumph Bonneville and it’s derivatives, Kawasaki W800 or the MG V9 Roamer. Bonnies are everywhere here and the W800, whilst lovely to look at 35KW! I then stumbled on a 2017 5000km white Roamer just a few Kilometers from work and fell in love - The gorgeous V twin transfers look, beautiful paint and metalwork, the sound and vibrations - Just about the first modern bike that reminded me why I wanted to ride again.
I have rambled on to much - I pick the bike up Friday and can’t wait to turn the test ride enthusiasm into my daily commute! yep I will be riding daily for the summer on the wine road instead of the motorway queue (fair weather wimp)
Best, James
