All,

My Houston dealer says he is waiting on the recall parts. Bike is ready for delivery tomorrow otherwise.

Is the bike safe to ride? What should I look out for--I think it is to fix a brake line too close to head?

Please advise,

Thanks!

If It were me, I'd wait for the recall to be performed. I don't know if there have been reports of brake failures, but why take the chance?

Yeah like John said. If it was something like a mirror I'd chance it but brakes?
Well I'd probably still chance it but that doesn't mean Id suggest it to anybody else

Frustrating, but I agree with both of you...wait. Hope its not too long. My mind would be on the brakes, and not enjoying the bike.

Safety first...

Yes, but... there are many bikes running around with the recall not done, so if you want to take delivery and take it back as soon as the kit arrives, that would be fine.

I'd get the bike and ride it until the parts were available .... if the shop is nearby and returning is not a major inconvenience. To the best of my knowledge no "stop ride" or "hold delivery" has been issued. Get your new bike, ride it, enjoy it, smile a lot, periodically inspect the brake line for signs of wear, have the recall done when parts are available. That's what I'd do.
