Next SoCal V7/9 Ride - Where to and when?

I'm going to pop down on Saturday to the Guzzi NAR for a good part of the day, but I'm taking two bikes in my van, and will likely ride for part of the day. 22nd is good for me if up this way.

I've penciled in the 22nd - but it's coming up soon.
Any idea on the route?
Chris, LA to Palomar Mtn is ~3 hrs to just get started on the ride. If we met at my shop in Orange, and rode Ortega Hwy (most ideal if you've never ridden it), we'd be looking at a 12-14+ hour day to just touch on some of the good roads down that way. Thoughts?
Unless we get some solid SD commitals to ride, my vote is to stay up this way again.

I'm game for whatever works best for everyone.
Not excited about a long ride-to-the-ride, but what's distant to me might be more convenient for others.
And a southerly destination route will encompass roads that I've never ridden before.
My preference is "totally open" - something more local or something more distant with enthusiasm either way.

I'm down for around the LA area or OC area as long as it doesn't turn out to be a 10 hour day.

I don't know what Todd has planned, but I'll throw some ideas out there as straw-man possibilities.
Since everyone wants to stay closer to home...

Angeles Crest Hwy -> Arrowhead (and back)

Azusa -> 39 -> Crystal Lake -> Ridge Route -> Mt Baldy -> Ridge Route -> Glendora

Ojai - > Fraizer Park - > Bouquet Cyn -> Santa Clarita

Ojai - 33 loop (same as last time)

Ojai - > 33 -> 166 -> Tepusquet -> Foxen Cyn -> Santa Barbara

Santa Clarita - > Isabella Lake/Kernville -> Tehachapi -> San Francisquito -> Santa Clarita

Votes or other ideas?

I would vote for Azusa, but open to the others

I don’t... but it looks like everyone is up this way. All of those rides are big time commitments, so unless everyone wants to start super early, I don’t think most of them are do-able. This weekend is supposed to be super-hot inland again, so my vote is a play in the Santa Monicas at a relaxed pace with lunch so we can get to know each other more. The Crest is a zoo on the weekends, so a no from me on that one.
Is Glendora closed? If not, how is that on the weekends these days?
I’ll be watching.

The Azusa ride (Crystal Lake and Mt Baldy) is one of my favorites! It's also the shortest one on the list.
I'll vote for that one, as well.

On the other hand, I like your idea of romping through the Santa Monica mountains.
I'm up for either.
