Is it possible to post larger pictures without use of image URL?
Yes. The server here will store and resize photos. Please DO upload your photos here as opposed to storing them at a photo hosting company, as they seem to disappear far too often. If you have any issues, write me direct; Info at GuzziTech.com

Donations to the site appreciated.

On my reply now on my mobile phone, I get below; Attach files. Our system resizes them to a more usable size. Many devices shoot ridiculously large files these days ~100 kb is all that is needed for fairly high screen res.

have just done a test. it still says file to big.
From my IT guy… The system allows files of maximum size 8mb but I have increased that to 18mb now. But this is already a very large size. 8mb should be more than enough. You can ask him to try again uploading the file.

I'm getting the same issue with trying to post photos. I've tried .heic (native) 2.3MB and .jpg (708KB). I use safari generally, but I've also tried it in chrome to make sure it wasn't a weird browser issue. Let me know if you have any ideas.

From a phone or PC? I've noticed my iPhone struggles with some images time to time. If I email them to myself and downsize them on send, they work.

I’ve tried both, neither work. I attempted to upload a photo of my v100 to this post, says too big.

Obviously it's something. Is anything about posting pictures behind the paywall for donations?
Insulting, but no. This is one of the least locked down Forums I've ever been on.
I did as I said, emailed it to myself from my phone and downsized it. Worked fine, added to your post. You're welcome.

Not meant to be insulting, just debugging and asking questions. I’m active on several automotive forums and this is the only one I have issues with posting pictures.

When you say downsize, do you mean storage size or pixel size? The two files I emailed were native and scaled down for size/ quality. Both were well below the 8MB limit suggested above.

File size. I saved it to my iPhone, and then emailed it to myself and selected ~1XX kb. It’s all that’s needed here. Even 1~2mb is ridiculously large for web res.

@GTM® Looks like it could be an iPhone 15 issue related to pixel size. My photos are 24MP natively. The send email route takes them down to 1MP. Looks like there may be a fix on the server side.
