Anyone on here know definitivley if sealed oil goes 'bad' over the course of the winter cold? I had a hidden litre of oil (new) from last year left in my garage over the course of the winter, wondering if there would be any ill effects to it? I've heard possibly that 'wax' forms in the oil in negative temperatures? Any studies done on this?

Sealed Oil - Does it go bad in Cold Elements?

I've never experienced oil going bad over winter, even real cold. I would shake it up to mix up the additives.

It doesn't spoil but it does get thicker with low temp, so lightly warm the can and shake well before use.
It'll last for many years in a sealed container. The operative word here is "sealed". Even if it's been opened and re-sealed it'll be ok for years.
