Storage suggestions

Well it may finally happen: partial retirement.
So once again I'm planning on a year long, two wheel trek around the USA.
Back road riding & camping with lots of gear for fun & comfort.
Because of the weight & amount of gear I'm packing I'll be riding the Victory Tour & three Guzzi's will stay home.

I'd like suggestions on the best way to store these bikes for a year or more.
'89 Mille GT, '01 Jackal, '13 Griso.

I'm thinking change oil to get out any contaminants, drain fuel tank & run to empty carbs/injectors.
What else? Spray oil on rubber?
Really would like some input.
Thanks, Trout
PS: Bikes will probably NOT be in climate controlled storage & will be in hot, humid Florida.

Best to fill the tanks with fuel and add stabilizer. That will prevent condensation and rust forming. Also running some stabilizer to the injectors will help. Yes, empty carbs. Remove batteries and if someone can put a trickle charge once a month they may survive. Rubber will have to tough it out. So long as out of sunlight that is good. Changing oil, maybe, if you can't take a good hot run before parking. Do chance oils when waking them up. I just woke up a bike that had a full tank with stabilizer and had sat for two years with carbs drained. Turned on fuel and she fired right up (didn't even seem to make a complete revolution before starting) and ran sweet even with two year old gas.

Thanks John, Good advice as always.
I'm really glad to hear about the gas lasting two years with stabil added, I was under the impression that modern gas had about 6 months of life even with stabil & thats why I was considering draining them.

Think it would be good to get the tires off the ground?
