I'm wondering if there is a euro market tail light lens w/clear plate light window available ? The stock lens has an opaque window that just slides into the lens . That way I could clean up the rear a bit by removing the chrome plate light ,it looks like it came off a fiat 850 ! I don't want to get all trendy & go w/some mini lights that cant be seen . I looked @ a few UK suppliers & they show the lens as back ordered . worse case scenario I could cut out most of the opaque panel &try to either plastic weld or use adhesives tu install a lexan window in . thanks in advance for any ideas or help. Plans are to add a fleshing led to the area that used to house the fiat plate light .

Would the one for a Griso 1200 or a California 1400 Custom (same part number) appeal? It's physically quite small. The Griso is the one you want to look at, the Cali has it enclosed as part of the tail lamp assembly.

Edit: I just realized you are wanting a tail light (red) as well as a licence plate light. Ignore everything I said.

I was looking for the clear plate window (V7ii) last year - no luck. I removed the hideous led plate beforehand, so had no plate illumination...

I made a new lens using the opaque one as a template - it's made from a clear CD case, and works great!

The new V7 III comes with this clear plate and no secondary tag light. Check with your local dealer or I'll try to put them online here if I can source them.

I bought one for my stornello from af1 had to buy the whole light ($15) and replaced the opaque lens you speak of took 5 minutes and allowed me to clean up the rear of the bike. It puts off plenty of light onto the plate
