Cruisin' Guzzisti
I have a vague recollection of mentioning this previously but can't find it now. Old age probably.
Anyway today for the 2nd time my light switch went floppy, no indexing. In fact I only had dipped and main lights available as the DRL position was blocked. The culprit is the indexing rod, not a ball bearing, escaping and getting stuck within the switch cluster
This is it
And it should live in the spring peeking up here
Disassembly is easy. The 2 securing screws then the 4 internal silver self tappers. Once apart refit the post and push down then slide the white indexer over it, while keeping the small metal plate on the side in (also under spring pressure)
Re-assemble and test.
I'm going to make one with a longer section below the shoulder. That should stop in working out.
