I recently picked up a 2016 V7 II Stone and to make it more comfortable for my wife and I to ride 2-up, I was looking at this seat from Corbin (corbin.com/motoguzzi/mgv7sgl.shtml), only to discover that it is officially for the V7, and the V7 II is not mentioned.

Does anyone know if the seat mounting is any different from the V7 to the V7 II? Will this seat fit, or will I have to keep shopping, or possibly just make modifications to the seat?

Thanks in advance!

Congrats and welcome to the GT Forum and Guzzi Famiglia. Hope you'll add your info to the Pic & Registry pages. 2009 to 2016 V7 seats are all interchangeable.

Thank you so much. I was fairly confident that they were compatible, but I wanted to make sure before I placed an order. Pics will definitely come when we get things switched up!

Yes. Sorry, I meant to report back. We bought the Corbin V7 seat and it worked great on the V7II. We just got back from a trip that had us on the seat for 12+ hours over two days. No complaints on the comfort of the seat.

Here are some photos of the bike with the seat on it: https://www.instagram.com/p/BSEOU05gfg5/

And as an added bonus, here we are on the bike (though you can't see the bike in the photo): https://www.instagram.com/p/BTG7_nDAOGQ/

I was thinking about getting those, we were on the stock seats and after about an hour we almost couldn't stand it. I just didn't know motorcycle seats were so expensive.

A quality seat is certainly an investment... but after a long ride, your back side will thank you for it.

Also looking at a touring seat option.
Can i ask if the Corbin lowered your position at all? Im 6'2 so would rather higher than lower.
Do you have a side or 3/4 view we can see?
Cheers Tim
