I'm trying to understand the service manual instructions for the rear axle torque specs. This is what it says:

Rear wheel axle nut up to frame serial number ZGULWS00XEM200368 - 120 Nm (88.51 lb ft)
Rear wheel axle nut up to frame serial number ZGULWS00XEM200369 - 100 Nm (73.76 lb ft)

First, both 100 and 120 Nm seems a bit high to me so I wanted to confirm that. Second, are they trying to say that any s/n's AFTER 369 are 100 Nm?

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks!

Oh translations... it's saying VIN# 369 and higher is the 100 Nm.

Thanks for the clarification... but doesn't that seem awfully tight?

As far as I can see from the parts manual, none of the rear axle/wheel parts changed starting at serial number ...369, so why does the spec torque value suddenly change?

Question for the Piaggio engineers. Metallurgy or perhaps change in bearings/loaded surfaces/wear, etc.
