V7iii random stalling

Does it idle normally at 11-1200rpm? When was it tuned last? Last time you changed fuel filter? Last time parameters was reset?
Could be many things.
yes, the idle is normal. I just bought the cycle 2 months ago with 861 miles on it. It obviously sat for a long time since it's a 2018 model. I'm sure the original fuel filter is still in the tank. I'm thinking of changing the plugs, then the fuel filter. I would think if the fuel filter was clogged I'd have problems at higher revs, not at idle. On the other hand, if the plugs are bad or fouled, then it makes sense to me that it would stall easily since the engine doesn't have the inertia to keep running that it has at higher revs...

When my Breva 1100 did that, it turned out to be the crank sensor
New patern part and normal service was resumed

More info appreciated, If it never got the 1st service or you don't know what service it has had, I would do all involved.
Dropping rpm at idle could be the valves tightened up.
Fuel filter wouldn't be clogged but if it has 1/2 plastic it could have split sitting in ethanol fuel.

I purchased at a Guzzi dealer who told me one of their own mechanics owned the bike. They told me it had its first service, but I have no way of knowing for sure. The past few days it has been performing fine. I DID put some injector cleaner and fuel stabilizer in with each fill-up, so maybe that's working. I will replace that fuel filter since it seems to be a bad design from the factory.

Run it out of fuel, pull out pump w/twist, turn & tilt. If you see it's all metal your good. You could look in tank w/scope from top.

Sorry, that doesn't mean much if a "mechanic" owned it... might mean quite the opposite sorry to say. Do NOT use injector clean ever. It will cause poor running and do very little for the injectors. They must be removed and cleaned professionally. Last is, IF the valve lash is correct, the bike MUST have the TPS reset annually as a minimum. If they can't verify that those were all done, don't chase your tail. The filter replacement is important, but would not cause the issues you describe... It's a run, not run situation with it. I can't be of much help from there... try a search here for those terms you don't know or understand.

I find most “fuel stabilizers” are snake oil and they actually gum up fuel injectors.

If you suspect your injectors, best to get them professionally cleaned and serviced as GTM said as well.

High octane fuel from a good brand is my #1 defense against issues like this.
