Guzzitech.com is currently developing a contingency prize program to support Guzzi racers in the US. How does it work? If a participating club racer rides a Guzzi to 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in an event with a participating club such as AHRMA or WSMC, he or she gets a check! It’s that simple. You race. You place. You get paid!
Every other major motorcycle manufacturer puts up contingency money for racers of their marques. Ducati just made $1 million (you read that right!) available to its AMA (pro) and WERA (club) racers. There are currently no contingency programs applicable to Guzzi racers in the US. Guzzitech wants to change this by forming a program from the grass roots, DIY style! If you’ve ever complained that Moto Guzzi gets no factory support, now is your chance to put your money where your mouth is and help Guzzi racers help themselves!
Moto Guzis are competitive in a number of AHRMA classes including Vintage Superbike and Battle of the Twins classes. The Guzzitech.com contingency program’s goal is to send the message out loud and clear to racers and the media that Guzzis can win races!
You can help! Guzzitech.com has put up the first $100 into the program. We’ve sent letters to every Moto Guzzi dealer in the US asking for a small donation to add to the pot. Participating dealers will be listed on this page. All proceeds will go directly to the racers [I personally recuse myself from participation in the program for the first year]. Don’t see your Guzzi dealer listed here? Ask them why not!
You can help, too. Tell your dealer that you support Moto Guzzi racing in the US and that they should, too! You can contribute as well, via the Paypal Button below, or via snail mail at the address below. All contributors above the $25 level will be listed on this page.
