My son is about ready to get his recently purchased 2015 V7 Stone inspected for a retitle. (it was a total loss wreck, 203 miles)
He is missing the safety reflector on the lower left fork leg, it's a plastic, sticky backed piece.
I don't see these listed in the parts catalogs on Harpers. Is there somewhere else he should look? Nearest dealer is about 60 miles away... he would much rather buy such a small part online and have it shipped.

Here's a look at the bike, you can see the right reflector, just need another one just like it. (please ignore my Special Edition Bonnie in the background)

I believe those are only installed on US/Canada bikes. I think they are a US DOT requirement. I would just take the other one off and clean the glue off. I doubt if anyone will notice.

Ah, found it. Although it's not shown in the parts manuals for the '13 and later models, it is shown in the manual for the '08-'12 V7 Classics. It's part number GU05781630. AF1 Racing has them for $10.89 and Harper lists them at $15.47. Sincere apologies if I'm violating site policy by mentioning these businesses.

Thanks sib, I'll pas that along to him.
And roadventure, there's a Harley dealer less than 2 miles from home...
On a side note, I took my Bonnie for a ride today and noticed that I have the exact same reflectors, those thing are on EVERYTHING!

You might be able to get them from a bicycle shop for cheaper. A reflector is a reflector.

I guess, if you're ocd like that. I'm the type that removes them the day i get the bike. Actually... Original poster, i will send you mine. Pm me ypur address and I'll send it in the mail. No cost.

You can find reflectors like that with J&P Cycles on line. They may not match that one exactly but you can find two that match.

I wouldn't advise everybody to remove them even though I don't think anyone really gives a sh*t.
Some states still have M/C inspection, could be an issue there.
And your son could always cross paths with Ofc. Cranky that's having a bad day. Or a M/C only road check.

...or get hit by a car whose driver didn't see the motorcycle because of the absence of a reflector.

Those inspection points are illegal. I'm glad they were banned in my state.

Moto Max has graciously offered to send us his discarded reflector.
Appreciate all the support from you guys.
I certainly don't want my son to have any trouble with safety inspections, whether the required annual ones, or impromptu roadside ones.
And more importantly, I want him to be as visible as possible.

Nearly 30 years ago, I was commuting from work on my bicycle (I rode motorcycles then too, but this was for fitness) and a careless driver struck me from behind. Speed differential was nearly 40 mph...broke my left tibia and fibula and added a temporary extra joint like Joe Theisman, broke my pelvis, 3 ribs and my left humerous, as well as general blunt force trauma...couldn't walk for 3 months, out of work for 6 months. I'll never be the man and athlete that I once was, but I've made my peace with that a long time ago.

Just don't want my son to relive my experiences from some careless, unobservant driver.

Thirty years ago there weren't mobile phones and distracted drivers. Your son is inheriting a totally different world with its own set of problems. All the reflectors in the world will not prevent an accident if the driver is not attending to the job of piloting the automobile.

On the other hand, I've never heard of a reflector that CAUSED an accident.
