Hi,
I want to ask your opinion about black exhaust wraps.
Does it look good on V7racer ? or it ruins the chrome look.
Generally cafe racers ile wrapping exhausts and v7racer is a fabric made cafe racer :)
What do you think ? I couldnt find a racer image with exhaust wrap. did anyone tried it before ?

I have never read anything good about wrapping pipes unless aesthetics. Heats pipes more, etc. Guess it adds to the look but I am not planning on doing this...................

İn fact i heard abot heating is less with wraps but i dont know.
thanks for the images. i did not like the black but the titanium color looks good i think.

Heat wrap keeps the heat in the pipe. It is insulation so the pipe isn't exposed to air for cooling. That is why it is cooler on the outside of the wrap than a bare pipe. Also the wrap will attract moisture when the bike is cool. If you don't have stainless pipes, can you say rust?

I like the stock pipes once they blue.
It shows that you know how to use the bike
Not at all a fan of the fabric wrap

stock pipes on v7 is not stainless steel ?

They might be, don't know for sure. However there are different grades of stainless steel. Lower quality grades can get some oxidation if exposed long enough in the right conditions.

I wrapped the exhaust on my V7 Sport.
Completely destroyed the finish on the pipes.
Just FYI.
Alex
