New V7-3 and V 9's. behind the voltage regulator between the front of the cylinders there is a box with what appears to be fluid lines coming and going. the dealer didn't have a clue and wasn't going to bother to find out. and there i stood with a check book in my pocket ready to buy.
my guess is the anti lock brake controller but it sure is a hot place to put it. inquiring minds want to know.

That sounds right as I believe that's where I noticed the brake lines running the first time I saw a V7II.

I take it you didn't trace one of the lines to a caliper or master cylinder to confirm though?

too many bikes crammed on the floor. they just didn't want to sell one very badly.
FYI I looked at the sportster and the Ducati scrambler and the clutch is too strong for my old arthritic hand. my 2015 V7 is about all i can take on a 300 mile twisty day.
choices get limited when you age.

I take it the Scrambler has a clutch cable? I guess that's a cost saving measure over the previous air-cooled monsters which had a hydraulic clutch which would solve that problem.

yes, and no their hydraulic clutch still has too much pressure for me.
on another note I assume you have the 30L bgs on your V7. what size is the top trunk. looks good.

Wow, really? On what model, cause the hydraulic clutch on our 696 is definitely lighter than the mechanical one on my V7. <shrugs>

Yup, HB Junior 30L sidecases on my V7 - but I've used both a 40L Junior and 45L Junior topcase on the V7 depending on the photo.

Unfortunately the 45L is discontinued, but I BELIEVE Harper's still has a few in stock.

Actually they have both the 40L and 45L, and a cheaper "topcase kit" that the photo looks like the 45L.

<shrugs again>

I think the part numbers shown with the 40L and 45L correspond to MG OEM California accessory #'s.

it was one of the new monsters on the floor. didn't look at the size just the clutch pull. I had the left thumb joint rebuilt in 06. great for about 8 years now it's starting to act up again.
I'm leaning towards the blue anniversary special. I just like the looks. If I pull the trigger on it when the first rear tire is shot I will attempt to make it tubeless. sure hope everybody is right about the silicone method.

ATTN. Todd w/all the clutch pull interest could the gnomes @guzzi tech come up w/ a hydraulic clutch kit ? Ya could probably source most parts from off the shelf components. Just thinking!

I was having a lot of aching in my left wrist. I realised that the angle of the clutch lever was cockling my wrist up. I moved it so my wrist and hand were in line. Problem solved.
