Additional driving lights

Finally got round to fitting some additional driving lights. My original intention was, and is to fit a power hub (see power hub post), but for now have connected direct to the battery and used the switched positive of the heated seat plug to "trigger" the switch.

The lights are Show Chrome units which are available as halogen or led, available from Big Bike Parts or Amazon.com. They can be bought individually or as a bike specific kit (not MG). I bought the set with the crash bar mounts but manufactured brackets to fit below the OEM lights.

Can't tell where you located the switch/indicator light. Can we get a photo that shows WHERE you located it?
 
I drilled the left hand side headstock panel and mounted the switch adjacent to the OEM fog lamp switch. (Cali Touring).

First time in the saddle for six months so had a bit of time to set up the lights. These are super bright, I have set them low as I principally wanted additional daytime running lights. As they are independently switched I have scope to raise them but would rather not be continuously flashed or distract oncoming vehicles.

I just installed some Denali lights on my Custom. I like how hidden they are, and they are really bright.

Can you post a close up photo of how they are mounted.

I looked at the Denali, for my Touring, can't fault the quality but not available in chrome, also too expensive for me.

Just for info, the units I fitted are also available in black.

Yes. I'm not sure how thick that mounting is on the light bar, but longer bolts would do the trick. :) I seem to want all these accessories but I want the bike to stay naked. I'm conflicted.
 
is there a cable already available and tucked up somewhere for driving lights? and if so how is it switched? thanks

There is a live feed with plug connector already available on the loom it's under the headstock. The MG additional spotlights plug straight in and they have their own independent on off switch.
 
When you purchase the MG light kit the wiring includes an on/off switch that mounts in the side cowl by the headstock. It's the silver 'toggle' switch in Roberts Post. The wiring has the plug which then connects into the bike loom. If purchasing an 'aftermarket' light kit it should be easy enough to get the matching plug for the loom and fit an in line on/off switch that you could mount where you prefer.

I'm looking at doing this. Any issues with the fender hitting the lights if ever bottomed out the travel stroke? Thx
