Eldorado Passenger Back Rest Info - READ IF INTERESTED!

Hi
Along with several others in this chat I am also the proud owner of a new Eldorado and desperately searching for a backrest solution. I've lost track in the chat of who is actually planning to make them but I am in for one if I can't find an alternative before these are available. I would prefer a bolt on to the existing bracket and don't mind drilling holes for mounting if required. If that's not possible a fixed replacement unit would suit.
Thanks
Andy
Yes - I am still in - we just need done one that lives near him or will visit in the area to loan a bike .

Oh man I was just there! I stopped in Malibu for gas and headed for highway 33 out of Ventura all the way home. I'll plan another trip to you.

My shop is in Orange, but you can drop off in Malibu too. Either works.

Hello , i see nothing more about the backrest . Has this idea been Kiboshed ? I know I would certainly be in for one .
I have not yet (still) had access to one to build a backrest... not even one in for service at all, including our friend Harry.
Where are they all hiding?

Is there any traction on this yet? I am quite interested in a backrest for my eldo.

Still no. Just need a bike in my shop for a few days. @Harry H got sick for the last drop off attempt.
Crazy to see we've been talking about this here for ~2.5 years!

OK guys, now is the time if you want one. Prototype below, and white lines are the last part that isn’t in place yet. I will post new photos on Monday when done. Cost will be $650, and built to paid orders only. I reproduced the entire under seat bracket and rail, so it is very similar to stock, but the rail around the seat is tighter and looks better. Finish will be chrome-like powder-coat. Bike shown is Harry’s above, so he gets the first one. Post below if for sure interested, and I’ll add the purchase info on Monday.

See pics below.

A bit steeper in price than I wanted to pay, but, my order's in. Thanks Todd, Harry, and anybody else involved. Looks good! Can't wait to get it.

Thank you Frank. Yes, wish I could bring the cost down, just not possible... The backrest pad alone is $100+.
I need to have one more paid order to break even on the time and material investment.

Lovely looking and functional item. If I didn't already have the MG rack my order would be in. Yes it may be pricey but its a handmade quality item that most people wouldn't even bother to produce. So well done to Todd for taking the time and effort to make an item that people have been asking for. :clap:For those that expressed an interest, step up and pay the man yer money. :)
