Guys, I have been working with the Shock Factory Europe with the twin shock line, and they also offer a nicely built adjustable monoshock in rebound/compression variable single adjuster for $399, or the compression and rebound separate circuit adjustable version for $100 more (pictured below). My test unit gave a great result for the price point. Features outlined below with pic, and link to the purchase page here; https://gtmotocycles.com/collections/suspension/products/gtm-mshock?variant=15806935498795

Features:
  • All CNC machined body and parts which are then clear and black anodized for good looks that last.
  • Easy to set spring preload.
  • The single adjuster provides a wide choice of vari-damping by controlling both compression and rebound with 14 clicks of adjustment or Model 2 adds a second circuit for compression adjust.
  • Fully rebuildable.
  • Two year unlimited mileage warranty.

Hey Todd, have you gotten any feedback on these?
Yes, for the those few that I have sold, everyone is very happy with them. I will be installing one on a Stelvio early next week. I will get the owner to post on it here (hopefully).

Thanks Todd, was going to get my stocker revalved and resprung but this is pretty tempting for just a little more money than that would cost.

Any thoughts on running a slightly longer shock on the Griso? Do they have that option (or is that essentially a Stelvio shock)?

Welcome, and where are you getting a cheaper price to rework your shock? My cost on the one I just did without shipping was $550, but that included adding an external valve to recharge the shock. So this shock is a deal in my book.
Longer lengths can be made, but will take time. Matris offers a length adjustable version for up to +10mm. They ship at +4mm over stock.

The Stelvio shock is ~25mm longer.

$390 and they're down the street from my work. Good guys.
Not sure what they do for the schrader.
This one seems like the ticket: hygearsuspension.com/products/elka-reservoir-cap-46mm

The base version of this shock is $399; https://gtmotocycles.com/products/gtm-mshock -- Fully adjustable with high/low compression is $499; https://gtmotocycles.com/products/gtm-mshock?variant=15806956732459 - My bet is that you’ll surpass this with a rebuild. I’ve been at this a long time, but people always know more than I do. ;)
Keep us posted if you do the rebuild.

Just fitted the twin shocks on my Eldo. Easy to fit, top quality, loads of adjustment. Got mine all anodised black. Haven't done many miles yet but so far vast improvement over standard units. They build them to your weight/riding style requirements. Thoroughly recommended and if Todd can supply them I would say go for it.

Just installed this new shock from Todd. After 600 miles and 4 adjustments it finally feels like I'm on a plillow when riding but hitting turns at higher speeds took some (dialing in) patience. It performs better in turns and utilizes all the travel when bumpy. Bought springs from Todd for fork to match my weight as well. Had to add 1oz of 20w fork oil to my 5w original refill to get my damping to a point of adjustability for match with new shock in rear. The entire suspension system is now set to my particular likes and needs.

Tired of throwing big money at Griso? All of which I got working including fork rebuild for well under a $1000.00. Get with Todd and alternative frugal offering is tits to say the least.....TY Todd

* Get the dual adjustable (comp/reb) model shock.

I'm very happy with setup and components.....

I have a question. I have the shock with compression and rebound adjusters but the instructions from the factory do not say which adjuster is for compression and which for rebound. Instructions only address a shock with one adjuster.

The knobs are labelled, Red is Rebound, black is Compression.

Thanks. My eyes aren’t good enough to read that mounted on the bike.
