Breva 750 - Longer Throttle cables suggestions?

Looking at putting risers on my Breva but the cables are pretty maxed in length at the moment. I unbolted the bars to see how far up and back I can bring them and it's not much currently. If I had a couple extra inches in cable length, there are all sorts of riser and bar combos I can do to make the cockpit more comfy for me. Thanks for any suggestions.

Motion pro can make them for you. My suggestion is to send the existing cables to them, and then tell them how much longer you want them. Label which is the opening and closing cables and ask them to do the same on the ones they make. All that is critical is the free length (difference between sheath and inner cable).

The problem with that is it's July, there is no way I am dismantling my bike for who knows how longer to find longer cables. I thought someone might have done this before, like possibly using Nevada or V7 cables. Anybody have a set of Nevada cables they can measure for me? The ends seems to be the same as the Breva. I can see that Nevada bars are taller than the Brevas, maybe they use a longer cable?

Check part numbers to see if they are different. If so order a set.

I heard back from Motion Pro, $110 - $160 per cable for custom cables? Ouch! No thanks.

I did hear back from an EBAYer on the length of the Nevada cable housing so I guess when i get the time I will pull one of mine off and see if it's the same or different.

How big are the risers you are installing?
It is hard to believe that you can't re-route the cables to get the desired slack. Usually you can change the routing to be a little more direct and that will give you the extra bit of length you need.

That's what I ended up doing was rerouting. Actually simpler than I thought. The cable ends are exposed and no need to pull the tank off. I hope nobody has a cow now that the throttle and clutch cables are zip tied to the outside of the fork tubes. It's hardly noticeable and everything works smoothly. The risers are 3.5" but they bolt directly yo the triple tree so they're about 2" taller and 1.5" pulled back from stock. Fits perfect now.

FYI I measured the Breva throttle cable housing at 38" and the Nevada are 50" so that would've been too long I think.

So long as the zip ties are loose and don't restrict movement of the cables, no cow here. If they are tight to the tubes, then that could cause an issue.
