hello folks, just purchased some Mistral full length slip on’s for my New V7iii carbon! wondering if I’ll be needing an “ECU flash” which I’ve been hearing alot about, or will my bike run just fine ? I’m new (sorry) I’m not a tech, and I’m not well versed in the Guzzi world... yet. Also! baffles in? Or baffles out?

Read the posts on fueling. You will then realize the more you change from stock, the greater the need for map adjustment.

hwondering if I’ll be needing an “ECU flash” which I’ve been hearing alot about,
Short answer, YES!
I have a stock V7 III and the ECU flash made a huge improvement in performance, handling (throttle control), starting etc. It is well worth the money for a stock V7 III, even more so with the new pipes. Easy to use and Todd is very helpful if you need him.

Read through the following thread, then place your order. :)

Thanks for your help! I’ll most definitely consider purchasing the flash tool. Is it self explanatory, easy to use ? I’m a tad worried about doing these mods to a brand new bike.. will my warranty be voided ?

It is easy to do, there are a ton of discussions on the forum on how to use it and good instructions included with it.

Here is the blurb from the purchase page.
Our new touch-screen Flash Tool (FT) programmer for ECU "map" updating. This also a Diagnostic Tool; It handles mandatory TPS reset post re-flash, and also will read/clear error codes on the ECU (will not reset the Service wrench on '17+ models, sorry, dealer only). NOTE: Windows ONLY program supplied, and it will flash ONLY *one* Bike/ECU. It will capture and store your bike's stock map once you plug in for the first time. Our maps are built around the Evap Can delete and (for '17+ models our) SAS Kit. Changing things on your bike often or in the future? No worries, map revisions are no charge. Includes all connection cables. For Non-Public Roadway Use ONLY. Questions? Please see THIS FORUM thread for Q&A.

To get the best performance and best reliability you will also want to do the Evap can delete and the SAS block off as noted above. Again, both are easy to do and discussed ad nauseum in the forums.

Hi Matthew- Did you do the remap? How are the Mistrals? I am considering them for my V7III S.
