Today we were supposed to be attending an event at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, East Kirkby, where we are members. Unfortunately the event had been postponed until late August because of the current Covid 19 restrictions, but it was such a perfect day we thought we would still travel over from Yorkshire and do a tour of the area. It's a beautiful part of the country and the Lincolnshire Wolds offer some great riding on quiet roads.
Lincolnshire was given the nickname of 'Bomber County' because of the large number of RAF bomber bases that were built there in WW2.
