GTM Monster Builds

I am trying to get my head around this. Does the belt spin the alternator which is directly coupled to the supercharger?

What does a supercharger do to engine life expectancy?

Our Supercharged GTM build comes to life. Power numbers and video soon. No this can’t be fitted to anything else but our builds unfortunately.

LOL. You go Todd! Unbelievable. I sure wish I could convince the other half that this was a "necessity" in my life right now. What fun this monster machine will be... Scandalous for sure!:inlove::D

I’ve re-engineered the whole system. A lightweight modern alternator has been moved down to the nose of the crankshaft. The Rotrex Blower has been mounted in the alternator position using a stock belt and lower pulley.
This forced induction mod (and many others) have been fitted to a myriad of (other manufacturer) stock engines over the years with great success and very little durability issues. The only other execution I've seen was of the kompressor-guzzi.de project on an old round head. So I think it's safe to say I'm the first to put a supercharger on a modern Guzzi. I’m not running a ton of boost pressure on these street builds, but to insure engine life, I’ve fitted Carrillo rods and forged pistons.

Thanks Scott! It’s been fun so far. The few that have bought my builds love them. A modern mono-shock low-cg Tonti on steroids if you will. A bike I wish Guzzi would've built. They got close with the Bellagio, but unfortunately it was never brought in to North America. Even then, all of the between the V alternator motors are a no go, so a supercharger wouldn't be an option either on the Bellagio frame.
I guess like everything else of this magnitude, not many will step up for one until I stop making them. For now, I still do have a small handful of my very limited/numbered frames (not for sale outside of a full build). At this point, it doesn’t look like I’ll do another run. Ultra-exclusive ownership. :smirk:
Next up is my 1380cc supercharged version, and a 1440cc (normally aspirated) GTM LeMans.

What a beautiful frame that is. Avner is going to love it obviously. I cant wait to see pictures of the build......I have just purchased a lottery ticket for the weekend

That's a beautiful red powder coated finish, am I right in thinking that the seat height is similar to that of a Griso basing it on subframe to cylinder head size.

No. My lower-CG frame puts the motor ~1" + closer to the ground.
The seat height on most of my builds is ~29.5" and the seat width is ~7" (cantilevered seat is ~28" and even narrower), compared to the Griso's 31.4" height and ~12" width.
