Well guess I geezer qualify 56'er here. What are you riding Gambo59 or did I miss that!
Hi there , I’ve an Audace and a Daytona 1000 in NZ , but Stateside , which is my second home as my wife is from Louisiana. I’ve just brought a barn find beat up not quite sure what it is Guzzi . I was to understand it was a GS 1000 , but I’m trying to get the exact model

Not the correct Guzzi mufflers on the picture bike... but that is your barn find.. yours is probably a 1974

I’m thinking it’s an 850 as per your advice . Many thanks for all input . Crikey , it certainly is not an easy find looking for info on these engine and frame numbers .Once again many thanks 🙏
Safe journey y’all !

No 1000 cc with round cylinders
The 75 had vin 93890
You are 92954...
That’s why I guess you are 74
Your final drive with drum brake and one disc in the front leaves you only with being a 850 T
No doubt!
Marvel mystery oil in the spark plug holes (fill them up) and let it sit for a couple weeks.... take it apart don’t turn it over

Ohhh man thanks !
So definitely not turn it over .
Perhaps take the heads off and look it over ?

I would leave it together and fill it with oil and let it sit...
After a couple of weeks I would start taking it apart… Do not use the electric starter... you may have rusted bore / rings, stuck valves...
Who knows...
bike is almost complete...
Don’t Break anything..
Maybe even WD-40 all the nuts and bolts

Marvel mystery oil ? Is that a brand ? Excuse my ignorance.
So , fill the bores , let it soak for a few weeks then strip it down ? Trying to avoid a major but if you suggest , I’ll take experience over my lack of knowledge for sure 👍
