Hi I'm new to this forum and have recently bought an 08 manufactured stelvio . I always love guzzis and have the older v11s, sports 1100, and also the oddball centauro with an added measure of an mgs which I use at the track for a while. Mgs is sold to a British mate (sad) as it's only a track bike in my country.

Can I know whether the stelvio owners experience a hugh flat spot at about 4k rpm on their stelvio. It's quite irritating at speed because this is the rpm you use regularly. I can slightly overide it by giving it a handful or down changing to a lower gear to shift the rpm higher but the linear throttle action is not there. I know guzzis and have worked on them and can expect this from the older bikes but the new generation having this issue especially when they are under aprillia surprises me.

Can someon tell me whether this flat spot can be elimated or cured with some fueling changes thru power commander or ecu updates? Or can it be eliminated with an exhuast change.

Welcome to the Forum, and congrats on the Stelvio... love mine. As for the MGS-01, while I didn't own one, I did get some great track time on one per my pic below.
Yes, the fueling issues can be resolved. I've spent a great deal of time and money resolving it. General options I have outlined here; https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/guzzitech-power-commander-v-information.2686/

Feel free to email me direct; Todd at GuzziTech.com

First thing with a Guzzi is to make sure it is set up correctly. They often do not come from the factory quite right. Once you are sure all is well, if you are still not happy with the fueling you can adjust it. I have Todds PCV/AutoTune/AirFilter package on my Griso and am very happy with it. There are other options out there but for me the PCV & AutoTune is easy to install and easy to remove should the need arise (we don't around here but in some places they test emissions on a re-occurring basis).

I am eager to see this outcome, sound like mine, but my flat spot is that I can go over 80km up hills and 90-100km flat out. Hopefully your problem is not as bad a mine?

I am assuming you meant to write that you can not get above the speeds you indicated. Fueling package won't help you. You have something wrong with your bike. Check the obvious things like the valve gap or a plugged up air filter. Your situation is not normal. Flat spots are somewhat normal from stock depending on what map version you are running. My 2012 is virtually flat spot free with stock fueling.

Didn't the early Stelvios have a pronounced power step at about 5000rpm, which could make the bike feel a bit flat lower down the rev range ( something to do with having a Griso engine originally?) I thought that as from about 2010 the cam profile and fuelling were altered to give a more linear torque range throughout the rev range.
