Could i stick a half inch spacer under the riser to bring the handle bars up a little ,would lines be long enough . Would it be as easy as putting longer bolt through triple clamp and spacer into bottom of riser or is this a dumb idea. I have a custom.

Not a dumb idea as far as I am concerned. But, looking at my Custom, seems length of lines might be a problem; don't see a lot of slack there....

My dealer Fast by Ferracci said they are making a one inch spacer and stated the lines are long enough for the extra height.Should be on sale soon.

from what i understand they made a prototype and a machine shop will be making the spacer, they are still not on sale as of last week.

How many are interested in one? I can put my machinist to work.

$159 !!!!!!! Look at that. We used to take the upper clamp for the handlebars on Hondas and flip them over then use longer bolts. Probably under $10 many (30?) years ago. I am sorry but that is just way too much money for what I am looking at. I haven't looked at my Guzzi but I'll bet I could do that. I must be getting old.

I have 2" Rox risers on my Custom. No new cables.
Works fine. I bought the stealers demo bike and they were already on it.
He told me the cables had not been replaced.

Thank you for your post and photo. I have been looking at the ROX risers in the event that I find the Custom bars to low. I'll find out if I want to lift the bars a bit after I get some miles in. Going to get the registration completed tomorrow!

Todd,

If you can make the spacers like Fast by Feracci (finish and profile match MG stock) to sell for $60.00 I'd bet you would sell what you make. So far you have a market of three years of the California 1400 with no physical changes except colors to sell to.....

I would just offer spacers to put under the risers off the top triple. No need to create a failure point with the bar clamps like the FBF offerings. I would need 10 sets to start, and doubt I can do it for $60, but well under $100 I think. Takers?

Todd, the ROX units are about $90.00 IIRC. They are on the ROX website for a Stelvio. That said, I will hold off to see what you can come up with. Knowing the care and quality you put into your work I would definitely be interested in a set of your creation.

THAT is something that I had not considered. I'll take a look at that area and decide. Get back to you soon...

Something to consider: Based on the geometry of the risers, it looks like a spacer placed under the factory riser will mostly serve as to raise the height of the bars. But a spacer placed on top of the riser will serve mostly to move the bars back toward the rider. Because the riser is curved back toward the rider, the spacer above will extend this curvature rearward. I am no expert, but that is what my eyes are telling me as I observe the factory geometry.

I'll tell ya in a few days as the Ferracci risers came in yesterday - just need to install them.
