Hello folks,

I am trying to start 2007 Breva 1100 that I just bough from insurance auction. Don't know any history of the bike, but it has 1200 miles on it and dash comes on with ignition key. It appears as if starter solenoid is engaging and that't is. I didn't test how well the battery holds the charge, but horn is very strong. I posted short video below. Thanks a lot for your input!

Classic Startus Interruptus issue - see other threads in the forum. It might simply be a flat battery, give it a good charge and try agin, if not read the thread on startus interruptus and let us all know so we can help...

I see from your video you received two keys with the bike. Check to see that both keys will start the bike. If they do, download the breva ll00 service manual and using the two keys follow the procedure to recover/change the user code. Most set that code to the service code which you can find on this forum. Manual is here https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/resources/breva-1100-general-service-manual.24/, service codes are here https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/service-codes.917/ If the anti theft antenna fails, you will need to know the user code to start the bike.

I suggest check the battery, and clean both terminals and the earth from the starter to the engine block (under the starter cover).

Hmm...since it's clicking when the starter switch is depressed I'm thinking it's not the classic "startus interruptus" problem? Mine would do absolutely nothing when the starter was switch was depressed and then fire again normally after some time and quite a few attempts. I've had zero occurrences since performing the wiring mod.

I did recently experience the symptoms on the video after my battery went flat -- fired right up after charging.
